Sydney-based dental and medical imaging startup Eyes of AI is on its way to the Australian Information Industry Association’s (AIIA) National iAwards ceremony, after taking home the NSW iAward for the best Business and Industry Solution.
AIIA’s NSW state awards ceremony was held at the Sydney Hilton on Thursday 27 July where Eyes of AI (EAI) was also awarded Merit Winner for the Technology Platform Solution iAward.
EAI shares both wins with CSIRO Data61, in recognition of the AI-based segmentation and detection of pathologies technology that the two organisations developed in collaboration with each other.
The purpose-built, cloud-based platform uses AI-technology to provide automated identification of anatomical structures and pathological lesions.
It’s the first of its kind to offer a unified solution for conducting AI-based analysis on all five commonly used types of dental radiographs. Currently, no other commercial product offers a comparable solution.
Khoa Le, Co-founder of EAI said the team is honoured to receive the award from Australia’s peak representative body and advocacy group for those in the digital ecosystem.
